Welcome to the Alte Mühle in Gößl – a place where time seems to slow down just a little. The approximately 250-year-old Gößl Mill has been lovingly transformed into a charming rustic holiday home, offering a truly unique stay far away from everyday life.

Nestled directly beside a picturesque mountain stream, you will experience nature in its purest form. The soothing sound of flowing water accompanies you throughout the day, creating an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. Your outdoor adventure begins right at the doorstep: just 20 metres away, a gently ascending hiking trail leads directly into the breathtaking landscapes of the Ausseerland region.

At the heart of the house lies the original wood-panelled living room, inviting you to unwind in its warm and authentic atmosphere. During the winter months, a traditional tiled stove provides cozy warmth and genuine alpine charm – reminiscent of holidays at your grandparents’ countryside home. Adjacent to the living room is the bright and enclosed veranda, known locally as the “Brickl” – the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or a relaxing evening, regardless of the weather.

Offering around 70 m² of living space, the house comfortably accommodates up to four guests. Two lovingly furnished bedrooms – featuring a 160 cm double bed and a 140 cm daybed – ensure restful nights. The steep staircase leading to the upper floor follows the exact location where the mill wheel once stood, preserving the authentic character of this extraordinary home. Beneath the charming sloping ceilings, you will find cozy retreats, while large windows frame wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and the traditional village scenery.

Start your day with a cup of coffee on the bench in front of the house, overlooking the small garden, the historic millstone, and the beautiful mountain landscape. Or spend peaceful hours on the small wooden terrace directly beside the stream – a particularly magical spot in the evening.

Despite its historic charm, the Alte Mühle offers modern comforts, including a TV, coffee machine, and other amenities to ensure a relaxing stay.

The location is truly exceptional – just a stone’s throw from Lake Grundlsee, surrounded by the stunning nature of the Styrian Salzkammergut. A ski storage room is available behind the house, and dogs are warmly welcome, because the best holiday memories are made together.
